We believe that people have a compelling need to understand more about the world around us and those in it.
We also have faith that most people have great untapped potential, but they often need assistance to fully realize it. An excellent way of getting this assistance is through consultative services: coaching, consulting, professional services, subject matter expertise, training… essentially, access to outside experts to help one’s business and/or career grow.
It is also our belief that the world will benefit from what we and they can do. We really hope you are one of those folks.
Reg co-founded EntreBahn when he returned to Toronto after being away for many years. He had worked in Europe with IBM and Unilever, and in the U.S. with other large companies like Pitney Bowes and Hewlett-Packard. He spent 7 years in Silicon Valley at various companies and entrepreneurial enterprises including being a contributing editor for various technical magazines and serving as consultant to startups in the Valley.
In setting up their new business, Reg and co-founder Peter H. Salus determined that for people seeking consultative services, there was a void in the market.
Ultimately, it became clear that the challenge is twofold: matching clients with experts to best suit their needs, and delivering such expertise in a highly effective way, with a big-picture understanding melded to issue-by-issue solutions.
Shared Expertise’s innovation of MicroConsulting is the answer to this latter need, while empowering multi-expert teams to match needs. Designed and developed in cooperation with organizations running and participants in mentoring and consulting programmes, Shared Expertise brings the fruits of these development partnerships to both your consultative services business and your clients’ results.
Reg developed Shared Expertise to make the dynamic world of entrepreneur coaching, training, consulting, and mentoring more efficient and effective. Shared Expertise is an offshoot of the EntreBahn concept. In cooperation with some of our development partners who are involved in entrepreneurial courses and special events, Success does not come from avoiding mistakes, it comes from learning from them.
Hal began his career as an industrial designer. Initially, concerned with aesthetic design, his work progressed to mechanical and optical design, including patenting a laser measuring system.
Continuing in automotive service equipment, Hal was recruited to a sales position, in which he took a product line from an installed base of two units, to become the most highly-respected system in Canada, and was named top sales manager in North America.
A brush with death saw Hal move more fully into photography (which he had used extensively in market development), virtual reality and film making technology. Rapid advancement led to consulting, specialized imaging and public speaking engagements for Apple, IBM, Kodak, Ontario Provincial Police, and other organizations.
As VP Digital Media at ZoomAndGo, Hal spearheaded numerous unique initiatives, including an on-line video and photo administration system to interface with a vast database of places to stay, worldwide. The firm’s *Geospatial Engine is highly regarded.
